The DTNVG-AVS utilizes high performance AN/AVS optics allowing the user even better performance of the Night Vision Device.
The optics allow for a better grip and smoother operation compared to PVS-14 optics.
Additionally this allows conversion of older AN/AVS systems to DTNVG-AVS bringing new life and capability to these systems.

Lightweight
Gives optimal centre of gravity
At a weight of slightly above 500g it is lighter than any other binoculars in its category. Absolute weight is one measure, but also how weight is placed on a helmet is even more important. This why the DTNVG is designed so that it folds onto a helmet to give an optimal centre of gravity, providing less strain to the neck while stored.
